Why
Despite the cultural impact of music videos, the creative process behind them is not often remains overlooked or difficult to find. From direction, choreography, set design and editing, much of the work that supports the final production tends to go unrecognized by wider audiences. There was a need for a platform that not only archives this process but also celebrates and shares it in a way that inspires collaboration.

How
The project began with developing a brand identity that captured the platform’s purpose and tone. Next, visual identity was established to reflect the dynamic nature of music videos while maintaining readability and structure. Brand guidelines were then created to ensure visual consistency and to support future content expansion.
Process
Development involved extensive research with understanding the needs of both the target audience and the platform’s goals. The platform's branding and visual identity were made to ensure a cohesive user experience across all elements. Key decisions were made to balance educational content with engaging visuals, creating a platform that feels both approachable and professional.
Drafts
The wireframe for the desktop version of the review article page.
This developed while evaluating a consistent structure for articles, focusing on scannable text, visual breaks, and encouraging scroll depth. One discarded aspect was an album listing, which was removed due to poor placement and little relevance to the article itself.
Draft of the desktop version of the review article page.
This was developed when both the overall tone of the platform and the primary color scheme were still being finalized. Additionally, the idea of incorporating a grading system into the review section emerged as a way to incentivize readers to engage with the entire content.
The logo’s first rendition was inspired by the concept of isometric illustrations, which feature a layered, dynamic view to visually represent the depth and complexity of a subject. This approach was chosen to reflect the brand's emphasis on perception and the inner workings of music video production, strengthening the vision that there is always more to see beneath the surface.
The second rendition drew inspiration from a clapperboard, particularly focusing on its iconic white strips. While the bottom portion of the clapperboard changes depending on the type, the top portion remains consistent.
The logo’s first draft.
The logo was meant to symbolize awareness of how a video connects with audiences and the layers behind the sound within video creation. Due to the notion that it primarily represented music and not music videos, this design was scrapped.
The logo’s second draft.
A clapperboard was chosen due it being widely recognized as an icon of video production. However, due to the clapperboard’s box-like shape and the text being too small to be effective, this version was ultimately scrapped and later reworked.
